
Paul attended the Gilman High School and attended the University of Illinois, obtaining a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was part of the Manhattan Project, through the Army Corps of Engineers and Union Carbide Corporation, to develop the first atomic bomb. Paul was an officer of the Waukegan Yacht Club for 8 years, and Commodore in 1980.
Paul was a member of the Hammond Jaycees, a member of the Waukegan Yacht Club, the Spooner - Trego Lions Club, the Rolling Hills Snowmobile Club, the Spooner Golf Club, and St. Alban's vestry.
He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Ann Frey, his daughter-in-law Mary Frey Keller (Richard), and grandson Timothy Frey. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Leonard Frey, his father Carl, mother Doretta, an older brother Edward, younger brother Stanley, twin brothers Lester and Chester, and by his son Paul H. Frey, Jr.
Services are being held on Wednesday, August 22nd at Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner Wisconsin. Visitation starts at noon. In lieu of flowers we request you donate to either Glenview Living Assistance in Shell Lake, Wisconsin or St. Albans Episcopal Church in Spooner, Wisconsin.
