Anna Marie Lamia, 82, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026.
Born December 2, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, Anna later moved to Spring Hill, Florida in 1976, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, and community.
Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Lamia. She was a devoted mother to Lisa Odalen, Christopher Lamia, and Scott Lamia, and a loving mother-in-law to Jon Odalen, Mauriah Lamia, and Laura Lamia. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Nicholas Lamia, Laney Lamia, Ethan Lamia, Liam Odalen, Amelia Lamia and a great-grandmother to Carson Lamia.
A devout Catholic, Anna lived her life with kindness, faith, and compassion. She dedicated many years of service to the Hernando County School Board, working as an Administrative Assistant at Springstead High School and Suncoast Elementary School, where she was known for her warmth and dedication.
Anna found great joy in spending time with her friends, often traveling and sharing her love of crafts.
She was a caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence brought comfort and happiness to those around her. Anna dedicated most of her free time caring for her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am, Thursday, April 23, 2026 at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, 5030 Mariner Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL with inurnment to follow at Florida National Cemetery.
