Arthur Jiran, 73, passed away on Thursday April 6, 2017, at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson, FL. Arthur was born on October 20, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Ulric and Gertrude (Hanncock) Jiran. Arthur grew up in Seaford, NY. Arthur graduated from Seaford High School in Seaford, NY in 1964. After high school he worked at the Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. Where he held many positions and retired after 37 years.
Arthur married Nancy in 1964 in Wantagh, NY. They were happily married for 52 years. He enjoyed gardening, golf, and coaching baseball. He loved his beloved New York Mets. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents Ulric and Gertrude, his brothers Al, Raymond, Richie. Arthur is survived by his spouse Nancy of Spring Hill, FL; his son, Christopher Jiran of Wappingers Falls, NY and daughter Deborah (Gregg) Gerelli of Hopewell Junction, NY; his brother Frank and sisters Maureen, Geraldine and Karen; his grandchildren Gregg Jr. and Elizabeth.
