Bernice "Bunny" Woods

Bernice “Bunny” Woods, age 81, of Spring Hill, Florida, died at her home on December 24, 2016. Bunny was born on January 27, 1935, in Concord, New Hampshire to the late David & Gladys Julia (Murray) Dow. A longtime resident of Spring Hill coming from Nashua, NH in 1977. She was a graduate of the Catholic High School, in Nashua, NH, was a home maker and a great mother. She loved to draw cartoon, caricatures, sailors, and she loved sewing, crotchet, made blankets for grandchildren and family. Bernice was of Roman Catholic faith. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 23 years, Lawrence Woods in 1990. Bunny is lovingly survived by son, Thomas (Patricia) Champney, of Ridge Manor, FL. daughter, Patricia Woods and her spouse, Richard Canterbury, of Brooksville, FL. Daughter, Joanne Woods, of Spring Hill, Fl. daughter, Shawnee Briggs, of Spring Hill, FL. and son, Thomas (Katie) Woods, of Spring Hill, FL. grandchildren; Nicole Champney, of Brooksville, FL. Nick Champney, of Ridge manor, FL. Edward Loretzen, III, of Tavares, FL. Joseph Loretzen, of Spring Hill, Fl. Savanna Briggs, of Spring Hill, FL. and James Lolley, of Brooksville, FL. Also surviving are her great grandchildren; Briley Loretzen, Shaylin Keener, Jordan Woods, Brendan Loretzen, Ariana Woods, Easton Champney, and Tanner Lolley. Bernice will be greatly missed by her siblings; Eileen Shattuck, David Sow, John Dow, Joanne Dow, and Kenny Dow, all of Concord, NH. Funeral arrangements and cremation are entrusted to the Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL. Bernice will be laid to rest next to her husband at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hernando County Humane Society, 7224 Mobley Road, Brooksville, FL 34601, in Bernice’s honor.
