Camille C Kalisz Wornowicz

Camille C. Wornowicz, age 85, of Spring Hill, FL. died at the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Brooksville, FL. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. She was a resident of Spring Hill since 2005 coming from Sayreville, NJ. where she lived since coming to the Lodi, NJ upon arriving in the US, in 1947. She married the Late Leonard E. Wornowicz in 1948. She was the longtime co-owner of J & A Woronowicz & Brothers, a handkerchief manufacturing facility for many years. Camille loved her card playing clubs, and avid knitter and seamstress, and a wonderful cook. She was born in Poland to Ignacy and Stanislawa ( Henik) Kalisz on January 8, 1930. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jozef Kalisz, sister Krystyna Kwiatkowska, son-in-law Ronald J. Kalafor, Sr., and step-grandson Ronald J Kalafor, Jr.. She is lovingly survived by her son, Thomas L. Woronowicz and his wife, Marlena, of Old Bridge, NJ, daughter, LaVerne M Kalafor of Spring Hill, FL, granddaughters, Lena M. (Kalafor) Himebaugh and her husband Phillip, of Spring Hill, FL, and Renee Wornowicz of Old Bridge, NJ, grandsons, Christopher Wornowicz of NJ, and Matthew Wornowicz of KY, and step-grandson Gary R. Kalafor of NJ, also by several great grandchildren and loving family members in Poland. Roman Catholic by faith, she attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic church in Spring Hill, and was a longtime member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Sayreville, NJ. Camille’s memberships also included the Polish American Union, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Sayreville Historical Society, Sayreville Democratic Club, and the Red Hat Society. A Memorial Gathering will take place at the Turner Funeral Home 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL. 34609 on Sunday May 3, 2015, from 2-5 PM. The family will have a Memorial service in New Jersey later this summer, with day, time, and place to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Camille’s memory to either the American Cancer Society or to the United Way of Hernando County, Florida.
