Cecil Frank Spencer

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cecil Spencer, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 87. He was born in Newfoundland, Canada on 4/13/1935, and married Maureen on 8/7/1956. Cecil was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent his career in the air transportation industry, serving as a manager for General Motors Air Transportation Section (GMATS). His commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Cecil was also a proud member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, dedicating his free time to serve and protect his community. His selflessness and dedication to others were a reflection of the kind of man he was.

He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years Maureen, his Parents, George and Laura, and his siblings George, Laura and Frank.

Survivors include his five children, Ann Marie, Cecile Schooley (Keith), Paul, Linda, and Alan (Angela).

Siblings, George, "Bill", Eileen, Rita, Laura, Roy and Frank. Cecil was also a cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, and his presence brought joy to all those around him.

Cecil will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and respected member of his community. His warmth, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service for Cecil will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609.
