Edwin Bohlen was a man who loved the land. He was born and grew up, the proud product of an Iowa farm family. He married Beverly and instilled, in her, the love of his work and raised his family to be kind, loving, conservative and with a work ethic that makes them successful today. Later in life they did an Alaskan adventure and lived there for three and a half years. He landscaped and tended the Atwood Estate in Anchorage and he shared a relationship with them that brought another dimension of his life that was productive and successful. He prided himself in the beautiful rose garden he created upon making the move to Florida and working at a newly developed retirement center. His greatest love, however, was his wife Beverly and his family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jean; two sons and their families: Steven Floyd and his wife Lea Ann and their children Jessica Lea and Matthew Edwin and Jessica's son Parker, and also Daniel (Danny) Edwin and his wife Timea who share the love of four precious children; Emily Ann, Courtney Danielle, Erika Faye and Jaymes Daniel. Survived also by his loving sister and great friend, Norma Jean Franken who lives in Iowa and shares his love of the land; sister-in-law, Veda Bohlen who also lives in Iowa; and many wonderful nieces and nephews living in Florida, Iowa, Louisiana and California. He was a past member of the Lions Club and several agricultural service groups and was a current member of the First United Methodist Church in Spring Hill, Florida. Visitation will be held, Friday, September 9th from 10:30 - 11 am with service at 11 am - all at First United Methodist Church of Spring Hill. Interment to follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
