Florence D. Salute, 97, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her home. A native of West New York, New Jersey, she was born April 2, 1920 to Edward and Emma (Lienhart) Moeller, one of four children. Florence was a retired cosmetologist and moved to the Hernando and Citrus County areas in 1986 from Bergenfield, New Jersey. She was a former member of the Sons of Italy and loved to knit and crochet. Florence followed multiple faiths, including Catholicism, and is survived by her two children; Roy Rauert of Wilmington, NC and Beverly Polston (loving companion of 20 years, Edward Crossley) of Homosassa, FL; sister Charlotte Licursi of Altamonte Springs, FL; grandchildren Brian Blaney (wife Jessica) of Inverness, FL; Brett Blaney of Weeki Wachee, FL; Veronica Rauert and Victoria Meecham, both of New Jersey and great grandchildren Brittany, Brianna, Malachi, Tytrza, Ethan, Kym, Drew and Zachary. Florence is also survived by her loving stepdaughters Sandy, Kathie, and Robyn and step grandchildren Melinda, Frankie, Anthony and Corey. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by three husbands; William LaBrie, Roy Rauert and Anthony Salute, as well as siblings Edward Moeller and Alice Schmidt. A celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Wed., March 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. from Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill, Florida. Interment will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
