Ignatius Edward Patane

Born on September 15, 1935 to Alfio and Carolina (Moschella) Patane both of Sicily, Italy, in Oswego, New York.

He graduated from Oswego High School and Le Moyne College in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

He was married to the love of his life, Aline (Heath) on September 12, 1959. They shared 52 wonderful years together.

Ed was an insurance executive for over 50 years. He worked at Excelsior Insurance and CNA Insurance.

He was a 4th Degree member in the Knights of Columbus, Sons and Daughters of Italy, and Jaycees.

Ed loved trains, cars, western books and movies, the New York Yankees, making wine, cooking his Italian food, and most importantly his family.

Ed leaves behind his daughter, Deborah (Michael), son, Edward (Angelyna), daughter, Donna (Matthew)

and son, David (Dawn). His loving wife Aline predeceased Ed in 2012.

His 5 granddaughters Danielle, Olivia, Sophia, Amelia and Brianna. His sister, Edna Supley,

sister-in-law Lavenda Ripka, nephews Joseph Supley and Michael Ripka and niece Cindy Horn.

He also leaves behind his two beautiful cats, Zach and Molly.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Turner Funeral Homes, followed by an 11:00 AM mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
