Dan and I remember spending time with your entire family at Joe and Nikki's wedding here in Milwaukee.  Jacob was so nice to converse with and had such a wonderful sense of humor.  This is such a tragic, unspeakable loss for our world, but especially for you.  We love you and send our support.

Jacob and I may have not known each other for a long time but we did have some really good memories in ROTC. I remember just over a year ago the program was doing a cleanup at the Weeki Watchee preserves. At the time I was very shy about meeting everyone that was there and was very quiet. That was until one of the instructors introduced me to Jacob and he was extremely nice and happy to meet me. We talked for maybe a minute or two and I had to head back to formation. After the awards for each company were awarded, Jacob brought me up and introduced me to the battalion. He said that I was the only cadet that was online who came to the event and he said “this shows how committed he is to this program.” To this day those words have inspired me and those words have stuck in my head for the last year and I thank Jacob for the motivation. Jacob was the main reason why I stayed in the program and his words and motivation have driven me to keep going and those words will stay with me forever. Jacob inspired so many people and has always had a great presence around others and always had a smile on his face around anyone he met. ❤️

Only two months ago our family visited the Soults’ and I got to spend some time with my cousin and forever friend Jacob. On this trip, there was a night that our family watched a movie together, and when everyone fell asleep afterward, Jacob and I stayed up until 3am talking about life and joking about sneaking out of the house to get food. Jacob and I were always buddies growing up, but this is a memory that I think I’ll cherish above all. He was clearly loved by so many people and I think that says a lot about who he was and the lives he touched. I’ve never met anyone quite as kind or authentic as Jacob and I think the world would be a better place if we were all just a little bit more like him. Love you forever, Hambone. 

Jacob and I knew each other since middle school. We never talked as much as we should have. Then senior year came around  and me and him became closer than ever before. He showed and taught me more than I can ever thank him for. I didn't consider him a friend. He was my family, he played that big brother role i never had even though we were only 4 months apart. We both made a promise to each other that whenever one passes the other would send their car on one last ride  and i hope to fulfill that for him. I love you Jacob and ill always keep you with me❤️

My dear Jacob we are going to miss you too much we have many memories of you and those I will always treasure in my heart ♥️ it was an honor you were Leo's brother - friend and we loved having you at home, I will miss your hug and the way you told me hello ma, your departure has left a great void forever we will remember you with love.

Just 2 short months to go from such fun to such horrible sadness.  Our Jacob was just the best. Ever since he was a goofy little guy to the handsome young man he became. How many 18 year olds would choose to spend time visiting their great aunt and uncle and cousins instead of hanging with their friends, but this was  the kind of guy he was.   He was so much fun and just gave us so much laughter! The night we said goodbye you gave me such a tight hug. I wish now we had held that hug just a little longer,  but we had to say goodbye because you had big dreams to chase. Auntie Jan will always miss you.  I’m so sad right now, but so happy for the memories you gave us. I love you ‘Hambone’. We’ll see you again someday and boy will we have fun. 

Jacob was one of my best friends that taught me so many things and he almost felt like a bigger brother to me. He was always kind hearted, compassionate, enthusiastic, entertaining, and he was always smiling. He would put others before him all the time. He never excluded anyone and always made any situation or experience a lil better. He always made everyone laugh and feel better. I will always remember him deep in my heart. Goodbye old friend

Jacob, 
You were such a bright light in this world. You were kind and loving to everyone around you. Your spirit will live on through the people who were closest to you. Your cousins will forever remember and cherish you. I am heartbroken over you leaving this earth way too early. My thoughts are with your family right now. Keep your arms wrapped around them as they continue to not only mourn your loss, but celebrate your life.

I've known Jacob since middle school, he and I never really got close but he and my friend were CO and XO of our battalion senior year of high school. I looked up to Jacob a lot and despite us butting heads he was always there for me and he always had my back. I remember days where I just simply struggled and he would sit with me and motivate me, talk with me, whatever I needed. When I found out I was officially in NROTC at my top college he made sure that I knew how proud he along with others were of me. Jacob is amazing leader and person and the world is truly different without him.

I remember teasing Jacob and he would come right back at me without thinking he would get me back. I enjoyed the time I spent with him. He was a kind hearted person and I always admired him. I am proud of the young man he became. He had so much love for his family. Such a close family. You always seen the love between them. Love and miss you Jacob. Always in my heart! Its only been a few days since his passing, but I can't believe how much I miss Jacob already. He was an incredible person, and he had so many admirable qualities. He was smart, ambitious, and hardworking, but above all- He was kind. It was easy to be friends with Jacob, and the times we spent together were always full of laughter. Truly the type of person that comes around once in a lifetime. Love you and miss you Hambone, until I see you again.

Jacob was not just a coworker, he was a great friend. We shared many laughs, some frustration about life, and the love for mustangs. He always went above and beyond what was asked. He would walk me out to my car after we closed at work so I wasn’t alone. He was more like a brother than anything else. He will be missed by many including me. I miss you Jacob ❤️

Jacob and I met shortly after my bestfriend had passed away and Jacob was the sweetest most caring and understanding person. He was there for me through every emotion I went through during that time and always did what he could to keep a smile on my face. I also got to attend my junior prom with Jacob and we had a great time together that night, it will forever be a memory I hold close to my heart. He had a huge impact on my life in the short time I was blessed to know him and I am so thankful for that. Fly high Angel 🤍 

Jacob was a truly great friend to me. In all the time that we were friends he was always there for me. No matter what happened he was always such a great friend. There are no words to explain what a kind person he was to me, and everyone around him. He had this hard shell around him, but when and if you could crack it, he was just such a beautifully kind person. It is in my deepest condolences to his family and friends. He was truly such a kind soul. <3

Jacob was a beautiful soul and he will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We love you Jacob!
