James (Jack) H. Roberson, age 95, of Spring Hill, FL passed away under the care of HPH Hospice Care Center and his loving family on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Gearldine Roberson, in June of 2014.
Born in Halifax County, North Carolina; he was a son of the late Tom Roberson and Lucy Keeter Roberson; was a dedicated member of the Spring Hill Baptist Church, Spring Hill, FL. since 1991. Prior to his retirement he worked for over 30 years for Montgomery County Public Schools, in Maryland. He and his wife loved to travel and visited all 50 of the United States. Jack was always there to provide support for family and friends alike. He was willing to share his “jack” of all trades expertise with anyone who mentioned something needed fixing.
Jack will be deeply missed by his remaining family; daughter, Shelia Wood Jones of Spring Hill, FL; son, James T. Roberson and Wife, Sherryl, of Memphis, TN.; and his Grandchildren Warren Wood, Jim Wood, Scott George and Starr Roberson; and six Great-Grandchildren; Amanda, Ryan, Olivia, Dylan, Caleb and Tera; and numerous loving Nieces and Nephews that meant the world to him.
