Joseph S Cali

Joseph S. Cali, age 85, of Weeki Wachee, FL died at the HPH Sturgill Hospice Care Center, Brooksville FL on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Joe was born on July 9, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the Late Salvatore and Rosalie (Lomonaco) Cali. A 13 year resident of Weeki Wachee coming from Glen Cove, L.I.N.Y. area. Joseph retired from the U. S. Air Force, serving 2 different tours, and US Airforce Reservist duty totaling 20+ years. During his duty time Joseph was an Airplane Technician and a Radar Equipment Repairman. Joe loved deer hunting, was a longtime member of the NRA, and was raise in the Catholic faith. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents. Joe is lovingly survived by his sister, Louise (Anthony) Briganti, of Weeki Wachee, FL. nieces; Michele Briganti, Lisa Briganti, and Denise Choiniere, and nephew, Stephen Briganti, and their families. Joseph family and friends will gather for his visitation on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. The visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Revered Ron Sumpter will officiate. US Air Force Military Honors Team from MacDill AFB will conduct military honors and the burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joseph’s honor to the HPH Hospice.
