Joseph Samuel Clinger Jr.

Joseph Samuel Clinger, Jr. was born on July 28, 1923, at Burgoon, Ohio to Joseph Samuel Clinger, Sr. and Minnie Gorrie Clinger. Mr. Clinger graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After service in the US Army, he operated merchandise broker business in Bowling Green and Tiffin, Ohio. He married Ann Pauline Duzy in Detroit in 1962. He worked for the U.S. Airforce for 4 years as an Inertial Guidance Air Navigation Engineer. He then worked as an Aerospace Engineering Analyst for the Foreign Technology Division at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. Mr. Clinger moved his family to Spring Hill, FL. in 1985, upon his retirement. He worked as a Licensed Real Estate Agent in Hernando County for over 17 years. Survivors include his wife Ann and sons-in-law’s Michael Van Cleve and Randy Starry, Daughters, Lisa Ann Van Cleave and Lori Jo Starry. Mr. Clinger has 6 grandsons, and a brother, Alfred Clinger, of Burgoon, OH. Graveside services will be held in April 2017, at the Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill, FL. Funeral Arrangements and creation at entrusted to the Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel.
