Kathleen (Kathy) McGlynn- Santoro, 63, of Spring Hill, FL, went home to be with our Lord on December 24, 2018, while in the loving arms of her husband, Christopher Santoro. Kathy was the third of six daughters born to the late Joseph and Beatrice (Millikan) McGlynn in Jacksonville, FL.
Kathy was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, beloved sister, fun-loving aunt and friend to many. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting New Smyrna Beach, long talks and laughing. Memories of Kathy will forever be cherished, influenced deeply by her unique sense of humor, smiling eyes, and joyous laughter. As an organ transplant survivor, Kathy understood fully the value of life and did not take it for granted. After her transplant recovery period, Kathy embraced every opportunity to live life to the fullest. Although her life was unexpectedly taken too soon, her fight to live and to enjoy each day will continue to be remembered.
Kathy is survived by her dedicated and devoted husband of 35 years of marriage, Christopher V. Santoro of Spring Hill, FL; her son, Justin Santoro of Spring Hill, FL; her daughter, Amberly (Atsalis) Cloud, son-in-law, Timothy Cloud, and their three children, Colten (12), Landon (9), and Emerson(4) Cloud, all of Brooksville, FL; her sisters, Patricia McGlynn-Burke of North Fort Myers, Michelle McGlynn-Burke and brother-in-law Billy Burke of Cape Coral, FL and Sharon McGlynn-Livoti and brother-in-law, John Livoti of Levittown, NY; Joseph and Becky Santoro of Land O Lakes, FL; Robert and Nancy Santoro of Weekie Wachee, FL and multiple nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Brooksville, FL. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, with services starting at 11:30 AM. Immediately following the church service, please gather with us at Chinsegut Hill in honor of Kathy. In lieu of flowers, the family please requests that donations be made to Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church in memory of Kathy Santoro. The family would like for all attending to avoid dressing in black attire and hats. Instead, please dress to reflect Kathy’s personality which was both warm and bright. Semi-formal florals, pastels, and similar patterns of dress attire would be appreciated. We thank you in advance for recognizing Kathy in this manner.
