

He was born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 1, 1931, to Peter Andrew D'Ambrosia and Madeline Castagliola D'Ambrosia. He joined the Marines at 18 years old and went on to serve during the Korean War.
Lenny married the love of his life, Angela D'Ambrosia (née Capichana), in 1955 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Bayridge, Brooklyn. Together, they had three children and lived in Brooklyn until Lenny retired in 1994.
After leaving the service, Lenny worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation as a foreman and as an office manager for Frank B. Hall & Co. He also worked as a machinist and mechanic. He loved bowling, golfing, gardening, helping his neighbors and family with handiwork, and traveling with his wife. Lenny was willing and capable of fixing anything. He led an active life, even accomplishing a hole in one at age 89. For many years, Lenny and his wife Angie were parishioners at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini in Spring Hill.
Leonard is survived by his wife Angela (Angie); their children, Lorraine Minieri (Vincent), Marilyn Anllo (Fred), and Lenard D'Ambrosia (Rachel); and his cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Lauren, Nicole, Victoria, Kimberly, Antonio, and Alexa, along with four great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Michael D'Ambrosia (Eleanor), his sister-in-law Grace Bisignano (Salvatore), and many beloved nephews, nieces, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
