

Levia “Polly” Vine Taylor Wood, 88, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Saturday morning, January 2, 2021. Levia was born December 28, 1932 in Greene County, Virginia to the late Roy and Lila Taylor. Levia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Laughing and joking with her siblings, conversations and visits with her children and grandchildren, and hugs and kisses from her great grandchildren. She loved watching the clouds and feeding the birds and squirrels.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband James Welford Wood, parents, grandsons James Allen Hardwick and Justin Travis Sauvageot; siblings Eugene Taylor, Roy (Winkey) Taylor, Bonnie Gill, Darlene Herndon, Judy Houchens, Elvin Taylor.
Levia is survived by sisters Ella Mae Morris (Thomas), Eunice Fisher, Ivy Mae Mouberry, Margie Pitsenbarger (Wayne), Liz Shifflett (Gary) and Debra Kay Henshaw. Children James Michael Wood, Catherine Wood, Linda and Thomas Sauvageot, all of Spring Hill, Florida. Grandchildren Jennifer Gongre (Mark) of Big Pine Key, Florida, Stephanie Allen (Michael) of Spring Hill, Florida, Jason Wood (Courtney) of Jacksonville, Florida and Sara Morgan Sauvageot of Spring Hill, Florida. Great grandchildren, Blake Allen, Brooklyn Gongre and Gwendolyn Wood along with many loving nieces and nephews.
