

Lois Frick (Southall), age 83, of Brooksville, Florida died on September 18, 2016 at the HPH Hospice Care Center. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia to Flemming Roosevelt & Curfew (Tyree) Gunnoe, on October 5, 1932. She came to Brooksville from Massillon, Ohio in 1996. Lois was a factory worker for Ecko Housewares in Massillon, Ohio where she retired from after 25 years. Once in Florida, Lois was extremely pleased to become and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and also as a toll collector for the Suncoast Express. She had a natural talent in opera singing, in her youth before she married. Lois was very active in the community, having been a member of the Moose Lodge and the Daughters of the Revolution. She was Baptist in faith and a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Brooksville, Florida. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Forrest Paige Southall who passed in April 24, 1999. Survived by her daughter, Kim Southall of Brooksville, FL; son, James Southall (Mary) of Dalton, OH; daughter, Patricia Wells of Spring Hill, FL; daughter, Teri Nevel of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Scott Southall of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Mark Southall (Sharon) of Massillon, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; husband, John Walther; sister, Janet Litot of Brunswick, OH; sister, Hazel Tucker of St. Albans, WV; and sister, Patricia Holley of Brooksville, FL. Arrangements and cremation are entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. In lieu of flowers, at her family’s request, donations may be made to Kim Southall, who supported and cared for her mom in her declining years.
