Marjorie Elizabeth (Hayes) Brumbaugh, 87, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015. Born in Andalusia, Alabama, she was a former resident of both Cocoa, FL (Patrick AFB) and Spring Hill before moving to St. Petersburg, FL. Mrs. Brumbaugh began her career at an early age as a secretary to Col. Fisher, USAF, Eglin AFB, FL. After moving south, she was an Executive Secretary with NY Life Insurance Company in Cocoa, Florida, before retiring as a homemaker. Then later on she returned to college and achieved her Associate of Arts Business Degree and graduated from St. Pete Junior College in 1981. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Raymond Hayes and Thelma Moseley Hayes; her loving husband of 47 years, Donald Brumbaugh; a brother, Harold Hayes and by 2 sisters: Jeanette DeMuth and Virginia Carney. She will be missed by her daughters: Connie Diaz of Rockledge, Florida; Cathy L. Biddle of Cocoa, Florida, and Patricia Merrick of St. Petersburg, Florida; and her son, Mark S. Brumbaugh of Spring Hill; 12 grandchildren and by 10 great-grandchildren.
