Mary Anne Summers Ray, 92, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away June 9, 2025. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, and her parents were Harry and Ruth Summers. Mary Anne received her nursing degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder and embarked upon her career of caregiving in various nursing positions in Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, and Florida. She had a lifelong passion for helping others, and after retirement, she was the full-time caregiver for her parents as they aged. Mary Anne enjoyed travelling and often recounted her trips to Europe, the Holy Land, and others. Even when her travel days waned, she continued to relish reading about the many different places in the world. Her other interests included listening to big band and orchestra music, learning about homeopathic and natural healing remedies, and hunting for good bargains at local thrift stores. Mary Anne was a Christian of the Methodist denomination, placing her trust in Jesus and praying often for others in her life.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two younger sisters, Janet Baxter, of California, and Barbara White, of Indiana.
