Mary Van Nostrand

Born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 10, 1938, Mary came to the United States at the age of 19 and resided in Long Island, New York. She married Eugene Van Nostrand on March 7, 1964 and continued to reside in Long Island until moving to Florida in 1990. She then became a U.S. Citizen in 2002.

Mary had a passion for her family, her grandchildren, family holiday gatherings, her animals, bowling, bingo, cruises, traveling, Scotland (her homeland) and gave to several charities. She was Lutheran by faith and devout in her belief in God. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Eugene; father, Daniel Fisher; mother, Mary Fisher; daughter, Jeannie Marie Mason; sister, Margaret Younger, and brother, Daniel Fisher. She is survived by two daughters; Mary Beers and her husband, Lee and Carol Boyer and her husband, Ronald; one son; Eugene Van Nostrand; 6 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 5 PM at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609, followed by a Celebration of Life from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
