Paul F Marquart Sr., 95, of Spring Hill, Florida. Died peacefully in his sleep on September 7, 2019 at his home in Spring Hill. Paul was born on April 25, 1924 in Ozone Park, Queens, New York to Paul and Anna Marquart.
Paul was a Veteran of WWII, he signed up at the age of 17 to follow his older Brother into the war. He served in the Coast Guard and was deployed onto the USS General W.P. Richardson. He served over three years and was ranked as Seaman 1st Class. After the war, he returned home and eventually settled down in Seaford, NY. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the USCG never left him. He continued to serve the community as a volunteer Fireman in the Seaford Fire Department for many years. He went through the ranks of the Fire Department becoming first the Lieutenant and then Captain. He was also a Volunteer AMT and EMT on the Seaford Fire Department Rescue and saved many lived during his time with the department. He was instrumental to organizing the beginning of the Seaford Explorer Post, which included recruiting future firefighters. He loved the outdoors lifestyle and spent his free time hunting, boating, fishing, camping, etc. Paul is survived by his sons; Paul (Carol) Marquart, Gregory (Deborah) Marquart, Kenneth (Deirdre) Marquart, and Brian (Lindsey) Marquart. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren; Danielle, Michael, Christopher, Kimberly, Eilish, Kayleigh, Timothy, Tyler, and Dominique.
