I loved my uncle Ray & will miss him till we meet again. He was the last of my daddy’s brothers. I got to see so much of my daddy through my uncles.  I didn’t get enough time with all of them!

I am Susan Sims Uncle Ray's niece. I really will miss him. He always had open arms and kisses.  I love all the family gatherings. Aunt Debbie and Uncle Ray always had so much love and hospitality for family and friends. I always admired his accomplishments  And most of all giving his life to Jesus. I love you . 


The memories overwhelm me! I am so thankful for uncle Ray and his love for my bunch!  I could go on and on  about it.  He and aunt Deborah have always loved us and we knew it.  From the time I was old enough for a memory, he was there.   Heaven gained a mighty man.  Love you aunt Deborah   💗💙

When ever we would go camping nearby, we would usually go by to see aunt Deborah and uncle Ray and go fishing. After a little while of not catching much we would go back up to the house and talk... Every time,  Uncle Ray would say “y’all should have been here yesterday, Rin and me caught 30 fish . No matter when we went seems like we were always a day late. Will miss that the most. Rest In Peace Uncle Ray.

Uncle Ray, always well dressed and well mannered, but always joking with everyone. I will miss him very much. He was always so loving and caring to our family, even when he was in a bad mood. I loved going to his home and visiting, even though I didn't go near as much as I should have in the last many years. I will always cherish my memories there, from helping build the first house, to cookouts throughout the many years. Much love. 

Ray has been a light in everyone’s life that he touched. I remember years ago when he and Deborah were first married. I visited them at their home. Ray would make me laugh with his humor and I loved the way he seemed to light up his wife’s heart. It was extra special to be a part of that and see my friend so very happy.
