He was born in Kansas City, MO on April 24, 1965.
Rick graduated from Fremont High School in Fremont, NE and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO.
He was married to Shone Desiree’ (Wallace) Jung on January 21, 1995.
Rick worked in retail management for Wal-Mart, Office Max, Staples, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Home Goods.
He had a passion for metal detecting, nature, history, coin collecting, and hiking. Rick served in the U.S. Army (active duty) from 1983-1987. He operated a ground surveillance radar. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1987- 1995. He received his officer commission as a Psychological Operations officer. Rick was Inactive Ready Reserve from 1996-2001. He completed his service as a 1st Lieutenant.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Richard Walter Jung I (2021), his mother Rosemarie Mae (2014), and his twin brother Robert Werner Jung (2008).
He was survived by his wife, Shone Desiree’ Jung, children Holden Chandler Jung (son, 26) and Kennedy Eastlyn (Jung) Stalter (daughter, 23) – spouse Matthew Stalter, his sister Petra Marie Jung, as well as 2 nephews, 1 niece, and 1 great- nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Glioblastoma Research Organization (GBMRO).
