I miss you, dad. 

Thank you for sharing your love of music and sports with me. I’ll always remember those little league games, and you teaching me facts about all the bands you loved to listen to.  Playing music is still one of my favorite things to do to this day. 

I thank you and mom for working hard for us so we could have a better life. Thank you for waking up early everyday, and for all those years you commuted to and from Dunedin.  I did that for several years, and I understand now how exhausted you must have been when you got home during the week. 

Thank you for teaching me the importance of hard work. I know you didn’t always love the jobs you had, but you did them to support your family.  Family is the most important thing. I understand that now as a father and husband. Hard work is and always will be important to me. 

Thank you for being overprotective  when we were little. The world can be a crazy place, and I’m thankful for having had your protection. 

I still remember reading all the Black Belt magazines you saved, and your Arnold Schwarzenegger book from when you were younger. Those are what initially sparked my interest in  martial arts and working out. Those are still some of my favorite things to do to this day. 

I also remember when you came to my boot camp graduation in San Antonio. You were so excited to try authentic Tex Mex. When I told you I got stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, you were so excited for me even before I could point it out on a map.

Life wasn’t easy for you after your first stroke back in 2007 but you persevered. I’m sorry all this happened to you, dad. I wish I could have prevented it somehow. 

I didn’t always say it, but I hope you knew how special you were to me. I’m thankful you were able to meet all 8 of your grandkids.  They’ll grow up hearing stories about you, and will always remember the incredible person you were. 

You created a legacy, and that legacy will continue through all of us

Ted was always the family clown, always throwing out a comment or doing something to try and get some to laugh. he had an amazing memory for anything to do with sports, but could never remember whose turn it was to do the dishes. He always has a great memory for people and 50 years later could still tell you who lived on the 1800 block of Aubin Rd. and the names of the kids he went to school with at St, Bernard's and where they lived. He started really young telling everyone he was going to live somewhere warm. He hated the cold and snow, his most epic battles growing up involved snow and the need to shovel it, Snow had one use to throw it at someone. Ted got to Florida and the warmth he wanted, Rest in peace Ted in the sun you loved.

Ted was always the clown in the family. Always aiming to be funny and trying to get people to laugh at his comments. He always had a great memory for anything to do with sports and people he could remember everyone on the 1800 block of Aubin Rd.  But Ted always hated the snow and cold as a child he said he wanted to live somewhere warm. Rest in peace Ted, forever in the warmth of Florida. Love Rick, Jane and our dog Otis.

Dad, you were truly one of a kind. A man with the funniest personality who always had something funny to say no matter what the circumstances were. You always wore your heart on your sleeve thinking about everyone else before yourself. You were always so selfless and strong. Pushed through the most difficult times and through your health issues to be the best you can be for your kids and grandchildren. Ellie and Josh both have fond memories of you. Especially Josh who misses having you living right across the hall from him. He said “ papa was not only my papa but like my brother who I would spend most of my days and nights with”. Joshs friends all remember you as being “ so funny “. Dad, your memories and heart will always show through daily through the way I carry on my days and treat others. I love you so much.

Thank you for always being the best that you could be. You were the best dad and the best grandpa that we could’ve ever hoped for. Thank you for all of the love that you gave to us and for all of the memories that will forever be cherished not only by me but also by these crazy kiddos. We all love and miss you so much.

As brother he made do some crazy things. One summer I wanted to use his tent but before I could use it, I had to kiss his foot. Of course I didn't do it. He was a funny and full of life. I truly miss u ted u crazy brother.

When me and Brendan were in school together we liked a lot of the same music  and one of our favorite bands The Misfits was coming to St. Pete. Only problem was we were only 15 so my dad took us and Ted picked us up. I hung out with Brendan alot till I moved away and  Ted was never anything but nice to me I'm so sorry for your family's loss.  God bless you guy's your in my prayers 🙏.

I have fond memories  of Ted.  We were neighbors for many years in Windsor (Canada).  Ted was a great guy and always quick to lend a hand or share a laugh!  My deepest  condolences to his family.  I'm sure he will be missed.
