Virginia Jenkins Henry

Born in New Albany, Indiana she was a daughter of the late Celestial Oscar and Eva May Jenkins. She was a long time resident of Dothan, Alabama and was active in the community with her husband, John. In recent years she would go dancing every Saturday night with her friends. She went to church twice a week, Wednesday to one church in the community and on Sunday another church. Until recently, she would walk with a cane then a walker was used to assist her. She enjoyed sitting and watching the birds and her flower garden. She would wave at everyone who passed by.

She is survived by a granddaughter: Robynne Swanson of St. Petersburg, FL and great grandchildren: Joshua Fountain of St. Petersburg, FL; Charley Dannheim of Norfolk, VA; Craig Fountain of New Port Richey; and Trevor Swanson of New Port Richey, FL; and a great great granddaughter: Elizabeth Dannheim. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Virginia Corn.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL followed by a prayer service at 2:00 PM followed by interment at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Spring Hill, FL.
