As a military spouse for 29 years, Janice supported her husband by caring for the family, home, and holding down the fort. She was selfless in her dedication to her children; however, she had a feisty side and was affectionately known as “The Warden”. Janice was the life of the party, loved to dance, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved gardening, music, shopping, playing cards, and mafia movies. She also enjoyed decorating her home, especially during the holidays and always managed to create a Winter Wonderland. Her most important focus was her family, proving children were the light of her life and her smile lit up the room!
Janice is survived by her daughter, Kolleen Carroll (Paul), her son, Kevin Kohler (Heidi), Janice is also survived by her grandchildren, Shannon (Adam), Brittany (Josh), and Lauren, and her great grandchildren, Madison, Collin, Adam, Alina, Lilyanna, and Mason. Also, her sisters Marie (Jerry), Madelyn, Carol, Lori (Harry) and sister-in-law Jean.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Louis Kohler Sr. of Spring Hill, FL and her son Frank Louis Kohler Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC, both watching over us from Heaven.
There will be a visitation on Friday, April 18th from 9:30AM- 11:30AM at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, 34609, FL. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513-8914.
Our Mother was beautiful there is no doubt, but her beauty was not just on the outside. She was beautiful for the way she thought. She was beautiful for the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved. She was beautiful for her ability to make people smile. She wasn’t beautiful for something as temporary as her looks, she was beautiful deep down to her soul.
