Nécrologie de William F. Allen
William Francis (Bill) Allen, 68, formerly of Pittsfield, MA, and most recently of Spring Hill, Fl, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2023. Bill was a cherished son of Dr. John and Rita Allen, and he was born on March 26, 1954, in New Haven, CT. Bill graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1972 and earned a Bachelors' degree in 1976 from the University of Denver. He was a successful entrepeneur leading his own business for many years, including as a Title 5 Inspector. Bill was a Sales Manager at All Star Excavation for 10 years where he helped build a small excavation business into the successful company that it is today. Subsequently, Bill bought his own business, Soil Tech Land Services, performing perc tests, Title fives, and septic designs for thousands of customers in Berkshire County. Also, Bill was previously an Account Executive at Richmond Networx. Bill is survived by his beloved, Cheryl of Spring Hill, FL; Billy Major, his wife Christine and their children, Sophia, Demetri and Kassi; and Evander and Costanza Major. Bill is also survived by his two sisters, Meg Allen of Dedham, MA; Joan Rowe and her husband, Bill, of Ormond Beach, FL; one brother, David Allen and his wife, Kathy, of Bedford, NH and their two children, Kaitlin of Berkeley, CA and Rachel of Limerick, Ireland; his nephew, Jason Allen and his wife, Clara, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and their two children, Braxton and Liv. Bill is now reunited in heaven with his daughter, Stephanie (2007), his parents (father 1992, mother 2013) and his brother, Jay (2012). After college, Bill moved to San Diego, CA, where he and his former wife, Danielle, had their beautiful daughter, Stephanie. Subsequently, Bill returned to Pittsfield where he met and fell in love with Cheryl. They cherished their relationship of 35 wonderful years. Cheryl and Bill were each other's everything. Bill and Cheryl were a caring couple, especially to Bill's Mom after Dr. Allen passed away in 1992. At Thanksgiving and Christmas, Bill and Cheryl would volunteer at the Christian Center delivering food in memory of Stephanie. Eventually, Bill and Cheryl moved to Spring Hill, Fl, to be closer to Billy and Christine's family. Bill easily made friends wherever he traveled. With his family and enormous number of friends, Bill knew how to get the party started. He had a unique way to encourage us all to learn more and always enjoy life. Bill was full of life and joy and those who knew him are thankful he was in their lives. He had a cornucopia of knowledge and readily answered our never ending questions. Family always encouraged him to be a Jeopardy contestant. Bill was a much loved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Bill will always be remembered for his intelligence, thoughtfulness, kindness, consideration for others, his humor, and for his interest in music and sports. From their very beginning over 60 years ago, Bill knew that the Rolling Stones are the greatest rock & roll band in the world. His love for the Rolling Stones was infectious and he shared this love of the Stones with family and friends, enriching our lives. "I've been holding out so long. I've been sleeping all alone. Lord, I miss you." ~ Miss You. "Faith has been broken, tears must be cried."~ Wild Horses. Godspeed Bill, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His Hand.
