If you ask anyone about Billy, the first thing they’d tell you is that he has a BIG heart. Always ready to help, always ready to share even if he didn’t have much, always ready to be kind, especially to someone who was down and out or the underdog.
The next thing they might tell you is that he wasn’t prone to making the best choices which ultimately led to his various ailments and demise. But when it came to the Ultimate Life Choice, he got that one right. John 3:16 tells us “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”.
While Billy did not walk the conventional Christian walk, he was a “whosoever” that knew who his Savior was, had a relationship with Him, would turn to Him often, and even shared about Him to others. And it’s in the presence of his Savior that Billy stands today because of that choice to trust and have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Rest in peace son… No more struggles, no more pain, only perfect peace. Love you, we’ll see you again soon. Looking forward to spending eternity together…
