William J. Stapleton

It is with a heavy hearts we announce the passing of William “Bill” J Stapleton, who peacefully departed from this world on Aug. 31, 2025, in Spring Hill, FL. Bill’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, however, his memory will always be cherished. Prior to retirement Bill was a district manager for Acme Supermarkets in New Jersey. In addition, Bill was proud to service his country as a United States Marine.

In addition to immediate family, Bill leaves behind a host of relatives, friends and acquaintances. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Viola, Mary Agnes, Kathleen, and Richard as well as his parents William Joseph and Margaret (Greer).Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elaine Stapleton (Perla) with whom he shared a deep and enduring love. His legacy lives on through his two sons; William and Gary and his three grandchildren; Samantha, Gary Michael, and Caroline. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family, always offering guidance and support.

Memorial Service will be 11AM Friday, October 10, 2025 at Turner Funeral Home 14360 Spring Hill Dr. Spring Hill, FL. 34609. Burial will follow to Florida National Cemetery located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida.
