

Bill served in the US Navy during WW2 as a 2nd Class Radioman. He served from September 1943-January 1946. Bill attended Services School’s NW University for Radio in Evanston, IL and for Teletype in San Diego, CA.
Bill met and married the love of his life Jean Polinski in Evanston, IL. They were married for 64 ½ years. Jean predeceased him on January 19th, 2011.
Bill worked in Washington, DC at the Government Printing Office as a Proof Reader and retired after 30 years. He and Jean moved to Spring Hill, FL in 1983 where he took a job at Sherwood Florist Nursery in Spring Hill and worked for 20 more years.
He was active in the Knights of Columbus for over 60 years. He was a member of Saint Francis of Cabrini since they opened in 1983, where he became a Eucharist Minister.
Bill is survived by his 8 children, Donna Rand-Jones of North Carolina, Sara Katherine (George) Dietz of Florida, William Michael (Karen) Weikert, of Rhode Island, Celeste Ann Estep of Pennsylvania, Thomas Ignatius (Rose) Weikert of Maryland. Alicia Jean Bastin of North Carolina, Eileen Weikert Vitaliti of Florida, and Danette Lauren (Donald) Simmel of Maryland. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and also his youngest grandson lived with him and health cared for him too , 16 Great-Grandchildren, and 11 Great-Great-Grandchildren, as well as many Nieces and Nephews, and his beloved dog, Molly B.
He had 5 siblings, 4 of which preceded him. And one surviving Sister Elaine (Kenneth) Stiltz who resides in Pennsylvania.
He also preceded his Future Son-in-Law Andre Remos, who helped take care of him until his passing.
