Arnold D. Friedman, 86, died October 1, 2013 peacefully at home after a courageous fight with cancer. Born in the Bronx to Louis and Jane Friedman, he obtained his BS in accounting from NYU. He was a veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He married Barbara Silverstein in 1951 and remained devotedly married until her death in 1999. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend. He was a trusted financial advisor and accountant to Jack Dreyfus and Adelaide de Menil. He earned his private pilot’s license at age 79 and skied until he was 84 years of age. He is survived by his children and their spouses; Jeffrey and Rhonda, Bruce and Isabelle, Stuart and Mitha, his beloved grandchildren Jenna, Nicholas, Stacie and Hannah, his companion Arlene and his brother Elliot.
