Bernie Gomberg passed away peacefully in his sleep this past Tuesday night. He leaves a brother, sister, 3 children and an extended family of spouses, grand children and great grand children. Bernie was an award winning member of the Rockland / Westchester Chef's Association, President of the Monterey Gardens Community Club, and an active member of the Rockland Republican Party. Bernie was known for his enthusiastic and upbeat personality, his sense of humor and his love and devotion to family and friends. We wish Bernie well as he rejoins with his wife and the love of his life, Harriet, and with his son Michael in a better place. Find peace Bernie. Funeral services for Bernie Gomberg will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00am at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley New York, 10977. The chapel can be reached at 845-356-8600. Burial will follow at King David Cemetery in Putnam Valley, N.Y. at approximately 12:45pm.
