Jae and I met through CUNY and have stayed in touch after co-founding DisQuake together. It's so difficult to think that they are gone. Jae was a visionary for disability rights. They believed in the power of the disability community heal and bond. I will be forever grateful to Jae for being a friend to everyone in the disability community, especially me. My heartfelt condolences to Jae's family and those who loved them.

Jae was one of a kind with a unique and endearing way of engaging with others. I feel honored to have known Jae at SPS and grew accustomed to their visits and cheery greetings. I know Jae made impacts on those around them in the community and will be sorely missed. I’m so sad for Jae’s family and friends as you grieve and I send healing thoughts.

To Jason's family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Jason while working with Student Services at CUNY SPS. He was a joy to be around and was always a very kind and beautiful person.  I will always remember him as being someone who strived to do what he felt was right and go the extra mile to advocate for others. So sorry for what your family is going through.

I had the opportunity to meet Jae through SANYS.  We have done several presentations on Self- Direction.  Our presentations were always great because of Jae.  Jae was a friend to me and I will miss having conversations with Jae and talking about our many experiences.

To Jae's family, our prayers are with you.  Jae will be miss by the self-advocates within the Capital /Hudson Valley Region of SANYS.



My sincere condolences to Jae's family. Jae was a beautiful person with so much passion, energy, and creativity. I knew Jae through CUNY and we worked together while I was a staff member at SPS. Most recently, Jae and I began meeting in Zoom every few weeks. I looked forward to our meetings and it was such a joy to reconnect with Jae.  

Although I am grateful for our time together, I will miss Jae. I pray for peace and comfort for Jae's family and all those close to them.


My condolences for the loss of Jason. The news of his passing was so sudden, that I can only imagine how you, his family, must all  feel. He had a wonderful and dedicated heart. He will be dearly missed. 

Jae was such an incredible person whose hard work and brilliant personality made the world a better place. They will be missed dearly by a loving community of peers who will always remember them fondly as a remarkable activist and a kind friend. It is with the deepest sadness that we say goodbye to such a wonderful human, whose soul will always have a home in a myriad of hearts.

My memory of Jason helping my son Daniel in the pool and on the computer and the care he showed will never be forgotten.

We loved Jason so much.  He was so kind and thoughtful as well as brilliant, creative, and giving.    Whenever Josh felt stuck in life, Jason would stop everything and come to his  side.  Once he even stayed over when he knew Josh had problems that kept him up.  He took Josh to Barnes and Noble and helped him find a book about career choices.  He also made a connection for us when he was an intern at the Mayor's office. and Josh was looking for housing.  Also Jason visited Josh repeatedly when he was in the hospital and called us for holidays.  His loving ways will be with us forever.
