

Paul was born on October 23rd, 1942, to Eddie and Jeanette(Greenberg) Stern in the Bronx, New York. He graduated from James Monroe High School in the Bronx. In October 1960, he became an apprentice in Local Union 28 Sheet Metal Workers N.Y.C. He then became a journeyman sheet metal worker. Paul was very proud of his trade and brothers and sisters in the union and labor movement.
On January 12th, 1963, Paul married Jeanne Piccininni in New Jersey, and they were happily married for 53 years. Paul loved his New York Yankees, New York Giants, and New York Knicks. In 1966, he and his family settled in Rockland County, New York, and has lived here ever since.
Paul enjoyed traveling, especially cruising. He and Jeanne had many wonderful vacations, meeting new people and making many friends. He and Jeanne also traveled all over the world, including Israel, to see his grandsons perform in their rock band.
Above all else, Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He would do anything for his family, and he loved them until his last breath.
Paul is predeceased by his parents, Eddie and Jeanette Stein, brother, Barry Stein, and his beloved grandson, Paul Michael Kelly. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanne, of Thiells, New York, his son, Douglas, of N.Y.C., daughter, Vicki Kelly, and son-in-law, Patrick Kelly, of Charleston, South Carolina, and his three grandsons, Sean and Dominic Kelly, of Savannah, Georgia and Brendan Kelly, of Charleston, South Carolina. Additionally, he is servived by several nieces and nephews and brothers and sister-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, 11:00AM at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, New York, with Rabbi Douglas Kohn officiating services. Interment will follow at New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.
