Rita Goldenberg, of Suffern, NY, who recently resided at the Atria in Ossining, NY, passed away on October 8, 2014, at the age of 88. She is survived by her daughter Louise Matek (married to Michael) of Evanston, IL, her son Ira (married to Sue) of Ossining, NY, grandchildren Benjamin, Zachary and Lila, her sister Irene, her brother Irwin, sister-in-law Jacki Brownstein, adoring nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and other relatives. She was a retired elementary school teacher in the East Ramapo School District. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014, 11:00AM, at Hellman Memorial Chapels. Interment will follow at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. A period of mourning will be observed at Ira’s home.
