Hard to believe it's been a year since Shelly left us.  May his memory be for blessing.

So sorry to hear of Shelly’s passing.  I really enjoyed our conversations over the past few years and will miss seeing him at the office.  He was a good man and glad I got to meet him

Our group, of which Shelly was an integral part came together to share a loss and bond in grief.  Our small group is sharing  this once again, but this time it is because of  the loss of one of "our own".
Shelly made me laugh and what more of a gift can someone give during a time of loss and sadness. He also gave me the best Brisket recipe EVER, written in his own hand which will provide for me a constant memory of our brief friendship whenever I use it. His presence will always be there.
Condolences to his friends and loved ones, of which I am sure are many.


Even when there is loss and endings there are new beginnings.  What brought our group together was the shared experience of losing a spouse. The group first shared grief,  then friendship and through this friendship our healing grew.  I was not a part of the original group but I was fortunate to be welcomed in.  
Your Dad was a BIG part of what came to be our Thursday night get togethers.  He had a booming voice, a ready smile, quick retorts and twinkling eyes.  He embraced us all with his laughter which felt warm and wonderful.  I hope the fond memories you have of your Dad will bring you comfort and quiet your grief.

I first met Shelly almost 40 years ago as I began my career in the apparel industry in an entry-level role at Perry Ellis.  Shelly was in management and quickly became a mentor.  Even after we both left the company, our professional friendship grew into a personal one that lasted four decades.  

We talked almost every Sunday and today, the day he was put to rest to be with his beloved Haze, I missed and will continue to miss not hearing his voice.  I consider ours to be one of those "once-in-a-lifetime" friendships and as such, Shelly's passing will leave a large hole in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers will be with Shelly's sons' Todd and Jason, his granddaughters and all those who loved him as did I.

Shelly was always a friendly and happy person every time I talked to him.  May he rest in peace. My condolences to the family.


I had the pleasure to work with Shelly for several years.  He was such a nice, smart, and hardworking man.   He was always quick to make a joke and make people smile.  I learned many things from Shelly that I will take with me both professionally and personally.  He will be missed.
