Bill earned his Bachelor's degree at Hunter College and his Masters degree in Social Work at Columbia University. He had a long career working as Director of Blind services at the Veterans Administration Hospital as well as a psychotherapist, where he touched many lives.
Bill enjoyed photography, traveling, cooking, music, sports and playing pinochle, but his greatest love was his family, his wife Shari, children Brooke and Brandon and his dog, Gia Hope.
Besides his wife and children, Bill is survived by his brother Frederick, his sister Elizabeth and his mother Marianne, as well as many loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father Lawrence.
Bill always knew just the right thing to say to make you feel better no matter the situation. His bravery and love of life inspires us all to live presently and love fully. His generous spirit and calming presence will be remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
