Richard F. Kleinfeldt

Richard (Rick) Frederick Kleinfeldt, age 82, of Springboro, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Rick was born on June 21, 1940 to Dick and Jane Kleinfeldt of Orange, New Jersey. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1958. Rick entered the United States Naval Academy in 1959 as part of the Terrible Tenth Company. Rick played football for Navy and graduated in June, 1963. He was then assigned to the Supply Corps aboard the USS Northampton and was honorably discharged in December, 1966. Rick joined NCR Corporation (Dayton, OH) in 1967 and retired as Senior Vice President in 1995. Rick is survived by his wife Lynne M. Collins, sons, Rik (Paula) Kleinfeldt of North Providence, RI and John (Cheryl) Kleinfeldt of Milford, OH , as well as his five grandchildren; Marika, Paige, Frances, Emily and Evan Kleinfeldt. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Craig and Henry (Hank) Kleinfeldt. Donations can be made in Rick’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.

Visitation will be held starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Springboro United Church of Christ, 5 West Mill Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066 with a Memorial Service starting promptly at 11:00 a.m.. Lunch will be served immediately following the service.
