

He was born on February 26, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Robert and Florence Perkins (Bashaw).
Rodney was a hardworking and devoted provider for his family. He spent many years employed at Monarch Marking and Avery Dennison in Miamisburg, Ohio, where his strong work ethic and dedication were evident to all who knew him.
Rodney had a deep love for music, especially rock and roll and country. He was rarely seen without his signature country western attire and boots, a style that perfectly reflected his personality. He also had a fondness for guns and knives from the movie Rambo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Heather Perkins; his son, Christopher Perkins; and his grandson, Jordan Perkins.
Rodney is survived by his daughter, Hayley (Derec) Temke; his cherished grandchildren, Keigan and Carter Temke; his sister, Janis Perkins; his brother, Robert “Bobby” Perkins; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street, Springboro, Ohio 45066. A brief sharing of memories and final goodbye will take place at 12:00 p.m., followed immediately by burial at Springboro Cemetery.
