Agnes Mae Scaduto

Agnes Mae Scaduto, 87, of Springfield, died at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Regency Nursing Home. Agnes was born October 26, 1924, the daughter of Joseph Maynerich, Sr. and Mary Sokach Maynerich. She married Dominic A. Scaduto on June 15, 1946 in Springfield. Agnes attended Virden Community High School. She worked at Sangamo Electric and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and ten siblings. She is survived by her husband, Dominic A., of Springfield; her children, Frances Scaduto of St. Louis, MO, Michael (wife, Tracy) Scaduto of Springfield, Mary Catherine Mehan of Springfield and John (wife, Kitty) Scaduto of Tiger, GA; four grandchildren, Noah, Anthony, Nicholas, and Sophia; her great-granddaughter, Lily; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 North Amos Avenue, Springfield, IL 62702. Funeral Mass: 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Jallas, and Deacon Frank Maynerich, Jr. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies. Private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
