

He was born in Indianapolis, IN Sept. 2, 1927 the son of Herbert and Claribel (Aldrich) Meier.
He proudly served in the United State Navy during WW II.
He graduated from Butler University and then began his career as a printer. Albert retired in 2002 as the foreman of the Press Room at the State Journal Register.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local #916. He loved to go boating, camping golfing, and being outdoors. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed college basketball and football, especially Butler University.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his two wives, Leveana, and Judy.
Surviving are his children: Bryan Meier of Kentucky, Tina Powell and Alan (wife Theresa) Meier both of Springfield. He has two grandchildren; Desirae Miller of Springfield, and Jason Miller of Pensacola, FL, a great granddaughter, Callie Malone and several nieces, nephews and cousins including Glenda (husband Bill) Hartley.
Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory. A celebration of his life will be held June 20, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bridgeview Park, 149 N. Lakewood Drive, in Chatham, IL.
