Alice M. Fitzhugh, 91, of Springfield, died at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. Alice was born June 24, 1919 in Alexander, the daughter of John and Mabel Rilling Rouland. She married Roger Fitzhugh; he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one infant daughter, Karen Lee Fitzhugh. She is survived by her children; Cheryl (husband, Ron) Allen of Springfield, Sandra (companion, Bill Hoban) of Chatham, Gary (wife, Linda) Fitzhugh of Panama City, FL; one grandson, Brian (wife, Heather) Harvill; and five great-grandchildren, Aisa, Addison, Kyas, Khian and Amina. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, with Pastor Ron Moorman and Pastor William Zanton officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
