Alice Marie Lauterbach

She was born on August 13, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of the late James Wayne and Loretta (Shipley) Gates. She married Elmer Ray Lauterbach on Nov. 23, 1957 in Springfield and he survives.

Mrs. Lauterbach worked for the Illinois Department of Revenue, retiring on Oct. 1, 2000 after 20 years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by3 sons, Michael Steven (wife Kari Jo) Lauterbach of Pleasant Plains, IL, Randall Ray (wife Sonya) Lauterbach of Virden, IL, and Ronald Douglas Lauterbach of Virden, IL; 2 granddaughters, Kaitlynn Lauterbach and Karissa (companion Scott Lowe) Lauterbach; 2 step-grandsons, Allen (wife Andrea) Schroll and Kinney Schroll; 2 great step-grandchildren, Macie and Joshua; a sister Eileen Ruh of Springfield; and 2 aunts, Ruby Hart and Cam Sargalski. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill, Springfield. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services are scheduled.
