Alma W. Miller, 91, of Petersburg and formerly of Naperville, died at 5:20 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2006 at Sunny Acres. Alma was born May 13, 1915 in Naperville, the daughter of Jacob and Caroline Matheis Bauer. She married Russell Miller on August 31, 1935 in Naperville; he preceded her in death. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her sister: Evelyn Hansen; infant brother: John Bauer; and grandson: Scott Eaton. She is survived by one daughter: Lynn Eaton of New Berlin; one granddaughter: Christy (husband, David) Smith of Loami; two great-grandchildren: Bretauna and Endreah Smith of Loami; two sisters: Elsie Mueller of Aurora, IL and Helen Hartman of Neoga, IL; and one brother: Arnold Bauer of Oswego, IL. Cremation was accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Burial will be held at a later date at Naperville Cemetery. The family of Alma W. Miller is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
