

Annabelle M. Myers, 91, of Springfield, living at Sun Rise Nursing Home in Virden for the past 7 ½ years, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital Hospice. Annabelle was born November 17, 1913 in Springfield, the daughter of Michael and Catherine M. Cain Lynch. She married George W. Myers on July 4, 1936; he preceded her in death on March 27, 1956. Mrs. Myers was employed as a Sangamon County Treasurer and later for the City of Springfield and retired from the American Red Cross in 1979. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother: James Lynch. She is survived by two sons: George W. (wife, Debra) Myers of Palmyra and James M. Myers of Springfield; daughter: Mary M. (husband, Larry) Robinson of Pawnee; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one niece. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut Springfield with Rev. Tony Schmidt celebrant. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, near Pawnee. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S.
