Anson Ainsworth Emmerling, Jr., 72, of Springfield, passed away at 8:37 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at his residence. He was born August 19, 1927, in Albany, NY, the son of Anson and Beatrice Dooley Emmerling. He received his MBA from Union College in New York and enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Emmerling was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons: David Kent (wife-Denise) Emmerling of Nacogdoches, TX, and Steven Todd Emmerling of Queensbury, NY; a daughter: Susan Wirth (husband-Dan)McEnaney of Warrensburg, NY; a sister: Cynthia (husband-Dr. Edward) Budil of Springfield; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Remains will be cremated and no services are planned. The family of Anson Ainsworth Emmerling, Jr. is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
