Barbara Lee Dewhurst

Barbara Lee Dewhurst, 66, of Springfield passed away at 10:25 p.m., Sunday, December 31, 2000 at her residence. She was born June 23, 1934 the daughter of William A. and Lucille M. Gilbert Napier in Springfield. She later married James Vernon Dewhurst in 1973 in Springfield and he survives. Mrs. Dewhurst retired from the University of Illinois in Springfield as the Library Circulation Supervisor in 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband: James V. Dewhurst; three daughters: Deborah (husband, Donald) Yohe of Mason City, Cheri Shadis of Springfield, Marta Jo (husband, Kyle) Adriance of Bakersfield, CA; one brother: Jack (wife, Annette) Napier of Buffalo; one sister: Judy (husband, Terry) Kelchner of Florida; six grandchildren: Jason Smith, Jennifer Fishel, Angela Green, Shane Shadis, Witney Weddle, Andrew Adriance; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2001. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with the Reverend Charles Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
