Barbara A. Doyle

Barbara Ann Doyle, 82, of Springfield, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015 at her residence. Barbara was born May 14, 1933 in Springfield, the daughter of William and Esther Rawlings Wiessing. Barbara married John Michael Doyle, Sr. on September 5, 1959. Barbara graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1951. She then went on to be a nurse at St. John's Hospital during her early years. She worked and volunteered at St. Joseph's Home. She was a volunteer at St. Martin de Porres and St. John's Bread Line. Barbara was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she also served on the School Board. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William and John "Jack" Wiessing. She is survived by her husband, John Michael "Mick" Doyle, Sr. of Springfield; five sons, Bryan J. (Rebecca) Doyle of North Barrington, Terence W. Doyle of Barrington, J. Michael Doyle, Jr., Martin P. Doyle both of Springfield, and Daniel R. (Cheryl) Doyle of Orland Park; three daughters, Jane (Jim) Adkins of Springfield, Ann (Jeff) Jenkins of Chatham, Katy Doyle of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Megan, Patrick, Madisen, David, Sara, Evangeline, Addison, Alex and Grace; one brother, Fred (Carol) Wiessing of Springfield; three sisters, Angela "Angie" Brancato of Tarzana, CA, Sr. Jane Wiessing, O.S.U. of Missouri, and Michelle Jegel of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October, 13, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. The visitation will begin with a prayer service. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October, 14, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield, with Rev.
