

Barbara V. Muller, 82, of Tampa, FL, passed away at 8:52 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2002 at her son's residence in Springfield. Barbara was born November 1, 1919 the daughter of Leon and Caroline Ellert Cammen in New York, NY. She married Joseph Muller May 20, 1944 in NY; he preceded her in death. She received her Bachelors Degree from Hunter College in New York and her Masters Degree from State University of New York. She taught elementary school for 23 years retiring in 1988. She had been the head of the Teachers Union in Westbury, N.Y. for nine years. She was active in retired people’s organizations; she was an activist and president of the retirement community. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Muller and one brother: Matthew Cammen. She is survived by two sons: Andy (wife, Annie) Muller of Springfield, Richard (wife, Karen) Muller of Sydney, Australia; one daughter: Susan Freeburn of Cherry Hill, NJ; three grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. A memorial gathering will be held from 2 - 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at the University Area Community Center Complex, 14013 N. 22nd. St.,Tampa Florida. Remains will be cremated and burial will be held at a later date. The family of Barbara V. Muller is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
