Barbara Rebbe

Barbara Rebbe, 60, of Ashland, Illinois, formerly of Petersburg, Illinois, died at 8:15 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008 at her residence. She was born August 26, 1947, the daughter of Lynn and Daisy (Wells) Minor. She married Larry Rebbe on May 28, 1966 in Petersburg, Illinois. Barbara is survived by her husband, Larry and seven children, Connie (husband, Randy) Moss, Larry "Corky" (wife, Jennifer) Rebbe, Jr., Brad Rebbe, Robin (husband, Trent), Hamerlinck, Jason (wife, Jennifer) Rebbe, Ryan Rebbe, and Mike Rebbe; and her grandchildren, RC, JD, Katie, Seth, Zach, Clayton, and Elizabeth. Barb was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother. She was also employed at the Department of Human Services. Cremation accorded by the Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Family will receive friends at a memorial gathering on Sunday, March 23, 2008 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Services will begin with prayers at 4:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th, Springfield, IL 62702 with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga, V.F., celebrant. Private burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.
